Arts Council of Mansfield Youth Art Fund Encouragement Award - download form.

Each year the Arts Council of Mansfield accept applications for the ACM Youth Art Fund Encouragment Award. Applicants must be aged between 15 - 18 years of age as at 31st December this year. The Youth Art Fund recipient will be announced at the AGM and presented with a cheque for $250.00

Kate MartinKate Martin, ex- Mansfield SC student wins grant to curate exhibition in Melbourne for National Youth Week

Kate Martin is going places in the art world. She applied to the federal government for funding under its National Youth Week program in October of last year and received a grant of $10,000 under the auspices of fortfivedownstairs gallery in Melbourne, to curate an exhibition during National Youth Week.

MyInsideOutside is an exhibition of works by young artists who have suffered from mental health problems. Kate has organised everything from finding the artists, arranging other students to do catering, promotion and design of invitations, to hanging the works herself. MyInsideOutside exhibition 14 April - 21 April 2007

Kate is a former recipient of the Arts Council of Mansfield Youth Encouragement Award.

Arts Council of Mansfield Youth Art Fund Encouragement Award 2006

Sean White was the recipient of the 2006 Award. Sean received a cheque for $250 at the Arts Council of Mansfield's AGM on 11th February 2007. Sean said he was honoured to receive the award. He thanked the Arts Council for the encouragement the award represented and performed an original piece to everyone at the meeting. "Sean's song writing talents, singing and guitar playing skills are an inspiration and we are very proud of him.", Arts Council President, Karen Pirie said.

 

Arts Council of Mansfield Youth Art Fund Encouragement Award 2005

Chumpy PullinWell known Mansfield musician, Chumpy Pullin is the 2005 winner of the Mansfield Arts Council Youth Encouragement Award. Chumpy who was awarded the $250 prize, found out about the award when he was a student at the Mansfield Secondary College, will use his money to fund musical equipment for his band 'Earthbound'.

 

"It's really nice to feel that you are supported. It encourages me to keep Mansfield as my base, and there's a lot of talent in this town so it's great to be part of it all", Chumpy said.

Arts Council of Mansfield Youth Arts Encouragment Award for 2004

Karly Gleich is the winner of the Arts Council of Mansfield's Youth Arts Fund for 2004. The Arts Council launched the encouragement award to support local youth throughout the district. Karly encouraged by her Mansfield Secondary College teahcer Ilsa Jones, applied in 2004 as a year 12 student.

Kate Martin wins 2003 Youth Arts Encouragement Award

Kate MartinKate Martin is the recipient of the 2003 Arts Council of Mansfield Youth Encouragement Award.

Kate who is furthering her studies in art will continue at Deakin University where she will be a full time student.

Kate will specialise in exhibition curation.
