I am a mixed media visual artist whose work reflects continuing experimentation with colour, shape, texture and line using a wide range of artistic media. Painting in acrylics is my favourite choice but I also work in other traditional areas –hand built ceramics, pastels, watercolours, mosaics, textiles and paper pulp. Often taking delight in combining these methods.

For the past 10 years I have been teaching visual art in the Mansfield area (north east country Victoria), to adults and children of all ages and abilities. I believe art is a wonderful subject to share with people, creating wonder for children and often exposing neglected yearnings from adults who have shelved their creative streak.
My home based studio is my workshop for producing my art and a classroom to adults and children each week. I am also available as a sessional trainer by arrangement
All my works are influenced by nature and the inspiration of the environment. Creating through an array of styles and mediums betrays neither weakness nor lack of conviction of my passion for the arts and constant drive to develop my skills. There is a broadness to the styles utilized that reflect my natural curiosity to explore boundaries and a variety of mediums.

I have exhibited my work locally but sell directly from my studio on request. Paintings have been done of properties & pets, works have been created to suit the décor and spirit of homes, and garden decorations in clay, wire and fabric sculpture or mosaics are popular. Photos of my works can be viewed in the gallery – but please be aware no two items are ever created the same. An idea, or inspiration may come from what you see in my past works, but my vision is that all work is individual and unique.

The arts in Mansfield are strongly supported by the community and I have been involved in the Arts Council of Mansfield for 3 years.

Locally I am often called upon for a diverse range of ‘arts’ jobs – designing business logos, drawing, sign writing for cafes with a twist of difference, wall murals for businesses and homes and commissioned artworks.
