of spirit, heart and nature"
Capture the essence of spirit,
heart and nature in this
Spring Arts exhibition category designed to engage people
working in any medium, but the image required for the exhibition
is a black and white print.
We anticipate this category will encourage those working in
the digital field, either as photographers or digital artists...
or if you have painted a picture or made a sculpture you could
take a photograph or scan of that work and submit the print
as your entry. You can put the original work into another
category and double your chance of selling and winning.

Three
Faces -Mansfield Portrait Art Prize
If you are a Mansfield or Mt Buller portrait artist, register
your expression of interest for this inaugural event by October
7th to admin@artsmansfield.com
or call Arts Council of Mansfield organiser Isabel Appleby
on 0408 729 355.
Three artists will be drawn from the hat to be part of the
event.
Here's
how it works...The first event - The Sitting:
Thursday 1st November during a 'drinks and nibbles' affair
at the Delatite Hotel. Three artists are introduced to the
mystery sitter. The artists will begin to 'paint' the sitter's
portrait.
The second event - The Revealing: Thursday
13th December which includes a dinner, the three artists return
with their artworks which are revealed to the sitter who choses
the winner and the artist receives a $2000 prize. The winning
portrait then becomes an acquisitive prize by the Mansfield
Shire Council and the other two portrait artists each receive
$250 and their works go on sale to the public.
At each event local wines and food will be showcased.
Three Faces - Mansfield Portrait Art Prize is proudly sponsored
by Mansfield Shire Council, Upper Goulbourn Food Wine &
Culture Group and Alpine Style magazine.
